Five Low-Cost Methods for Relieving the Pain of Sunburn Stings

Each of us has probably had a bad sunburn at some point in our lives. Symptoms can range from red hot skin that is tender or painful to the touch to nausea, dehydration, blistering, and skin flaking or peeling, whether you have them yourself or someone close to you has.

It is well known that the amount of time spent creating a sunburn is far less than the amount of time it takes to suffer from the effects of a sunburn. When it comes to pain and suffering, this can last for several days, depending on the degree of the burn, as the body fights to repair and recover.

Here are five basic home remedies that will help ease the sting and pain of sunburn, unless the symptoms are severe (in which case you may need to seek medical attention).

1, One of the finest ways to relieve the pain and discomfort of a sunburn is to soak in a cool *bath. (Avoid using the word “cold,” which can put the body into shock.) To make your baths even more relaxing, try adding some of the following:

a, Toss about 10 drops of chamomile or lavender essential oil into the tub. Take a 15-minute soak, or as long as it takes to feel better.

b, It is also possible to alleviate sunburn pain by adding baking soda (or oatmeal) to a warm bath. To get the best results with this treatment, be sure to submerge all of the problematic regions. A soft washcloth can be used to apply the bath water to your body. The towel can be used to gently dab the burnt regions of your face, or you can splash water straight on your face if you prefer. With a soft towel, gently pat the skin dry after soaking (preferably cotton). Allow the thin layer of oats that forms on your skin after taking an oatmeal bath to stay.

c, To ease the pain of sunburn, add vinegar to the bath water.

2, The cooling and pain-relieving properties of rubbing alcohol make it an excellent choice for application on burnt skin.

3, As a cooling agent, vinegar works well on sunburned skin. To treat burns, soak a cloth in the solution and apply it to the affected region. You can also use a spray bottle to apply the solution straight to the skin.

4, If your burn is unbearably hot, separating the white from the yolk of an egg and then spreading the white over the damaged region will help to cool it down immediately. There is no limit to how many times you can repeat this procedure.

5, You can also use potatoes to reduce the pain of a sunburn. 6. Wash two potatoes well. Make a smoothie by chopping them into small pieces and adding them to the blender. Add some water if the final product is too dry. Potato juice can be applied to the afflicted areas. Rinse off in a cool shower or bath after it’s completely dry.

Remember that in addition to generating varied degrees of agony and discomfort, repeated sun exposure and sunburn also accelerates the ageing process and increases the risk of cataracts and skin cancer. Because of this, prevention is always preferable to treatment!
