Intriguing projects at Louisville institute – Louisville Future

Two fascinating projects are underway at the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute at the University of Louisville.

One effort aims to study the relationship between trees and human health. The study will examine the trees’ ability to filter out pollution that harms human health.

The other study is even earthier. It’s monitoring Louisville’s sewage to find patterns of infection from COVID-19. The institute is sampling wastewater at 16 locations around the city to see where COVID is present. The study aims to help city officials understand the “health anatomy” of Louisville.
