The terrorist, who had killed a CRPF personnel and a 6-year-old boy in Anantnag last week, was killed in an encounter, the Jammu and Kashmir Police said on Friday.
The terrorist, identified as Zahid Dass, was killed in a gunfight in a joint operation late Thursday night at Malbagh, a locality near Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar.
A CRPF head constable was also killed in the encounter, officials said.

Zahid Dass belonged to the Jammu Kashmir Islamic State (JKIS).
The CRPF personnel and the minor boy had died after the terrorist opened indiscriminate fire on a CRPF patrol in Anantnag district of south Kashmir.
The boy was travelling with his father for some personal work when he was hit by bullets fired by the terrorist at Padshahi Bagh bridge in Anantnag’s Bijbehara area. The terrorist had managed to escape after the attack.
Police had also registered an FIR against Zahid Dass.
