Boyup Brook residents lined the streets on Saturday to pay tribute to Boyup Brook District High School teacher John Roberts, who died on May 16.
Friends, colleagues, former students and locals stood and watched as John’s motorcycle was taken through the town.
His guitar was attached to the trailer as part of an honour guard containing police, members of the Mayanup Motorcycle Club and a ute playing music.
The tribute was organised by Mr Roberts’ colleagues Renee Knapp and Stephen Franklyn.
The procession started from the Boyup Brook District High School and followed a route that took it through Abel Street twice, where the streets were lined with the cars of people who had come to pay tribute to Mr Roberts.
“The love for John … it’s so far and wide it’s quite hard to fathom,” Mrs Knapp said.
“It was really lovely, standing next his to daughter on the back of the ute, she was overwhelmed by all the people and the support that was shown.”
