M3 Technologies board rebuts shareholders’ claims

KUALA LUMPUR: M3 Technologies (Asia) Bhd has taken legal action against two shareholders who claimed they had 10% of its paid-up capital and sought an extraordinary general meeting (EGM).

The company announced to Bursa Malaysia the two, Lim Seng Boon and Voon Sze Lin, had on April 25, served a notice and sought for the EGM within 14 days.

“The company had verified its official records, and confirmed that Lim and Voon are not members of the company for at least 10% of its paid-up capital,” it said.

In the same verification, the M3 Tech said Lim had allegedly misled the company over his shareholdings in the company by serving Section 138 notice to the company that allegedly contained false and/or misleading information.

M3 Tech said it had appointed Messrs Chong + Kheng Hoe, and had on Friday filed an originating summon and application for injunction against Lim and Voon, for, amongst others, declaration that the notice is null and void and damages.
