He was called the Father of the H-Bomb, and his name was once legendary as a man of peace. Andrei Sakharov was even awarded a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to protect civil rights in Russia. Well now in the centenary of Sakharov’s birth, Professor Alexander Kabanov, remembers his hero and wonders where Russian scientists can now look for inspiration.
